? Understanding Tokens
Tokens are the currency of AI. Understanding how they work helps you get the most from your plan.
What Is a Token?
A token is roughly 4 characters or ¾ of a word. When you interact with AI models, both your input (prompt) and the AI's output (response) consume tokens. Different models have different costs per token.
