Adding a Payment Method
- Log in and go to Account → Billing → Payment Methods.
- Click Add Payment Method.
- Select the method type and enter the required details.
- For credit cards, a temporary $1.00 authorization charge verifies the card and is reversed immediately.
- Click Save. The new method can be set as your default for future charges.
Managing Auto-Renewal
Auto-renewal ensures your hosting, domains, and add-on services renew automatically before they expire. It is enabled by default for all active services.
To manage auto-renewal:
- Go to Account → Billing → My Services.
- Click on the service you want to manage.
- Toggle Auto-Renewal on or off.
- If turned off, you will receive email reminders at 30, 14, 7, and 1 day(s) before expiry.
Invoice & Receipt Management
- View all invoices under Billing → Invoices.
- Download invoices as PDF for your accounting records.
- Set up billing contacts to send invoices to your accountant or finance team.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, GoSiteMe retries the charge up to 3 times over 7 days. During this period:
- Your services remain active.
- You receive email notifications after each failed attempt.
- You can update your payment method at any time to resolve the issue.
If all retries fail, the service enters a grace period of 14 days before suspension. Contact support during this window to avoid data loss.
Tax Information
GoSiteMe calculates applicable taxes based on your billing address. To add a tax ID (VAT, GST, etc.) for tax-exempt billing, go to Account → Billing → Tax Information and enter your registration number.
