Testament of Moses 3
1
Then there will be one who will pray for them, a man who has power in word and in spirit.
2
And he shall take them out and bring them to the heritage of their fathers.
3
And he shall fortify them and establish them, and he shall avenge them of their enemies.
4
He shall sit down and give them judgment and justice. For twenty years he shall punish their enemies.
5
And he shall destroy them even unto the uttermost borders, and none shall stand against him.
6
Through his words shall the Lord work great signs and wonders.
7
And after this the judges shall rule them for the space of the time that the testament prescribes.
8
Both these things and those which come to pass thereafter. And these are the instructions that Joshua will give them.
9
Then they shall go and worship other gods and shall serve them; and the sun and the moon they shall worship.
10
And they shall make images of them and worship them, and abandon the house of worship and serve the idols of the Gentiles.
11
And they shall sacrifice their sons to strange gods, and set up idols in the tabernacle.
12
And they shall defile with pollutions the house of worship, and they shall go a-whoring after strange gods.
13
And in the house of the Lord they shall commit every abomination.
14
And they shall engrave images of every kind of beast on the vessels and the altar and on the garments of the priests.
