He showed me a great willow tree, shadowing plains and mountains, and under the shade of the willow all have come who are called by the name of the Lord.
2
And by the willow there stood an angel of the Lord, glorious and very tall, having a great sickle, and he was lopping branches from the willow, and giving them to the people that sheltered beneath the willow.
3
And he gave them little rods about a cubit long. And when all had taken the rods, the angel laid aside the sickle and said to me: See what each one of them returns.
4
After them all had been examined, the angel said to me: I told thee that this tree is tenacious of life. Seest thou how many repented and were saved? I see, sir, I say. That thou mayest see the great compassion of the Lord, that it is great and glorious.
